    A few years ago, I accompanied an 89 year old gentleman to Iceland. I was his carer and I asked him if all the places in the world, where would he like to go before he died. He wanted to stand with one foot on the Eurasian plate and one on the North American. His dream came true.
    He now has dementia and lives in a care home but whenever I take the photos we took of Iceland for him to see, it gives him a moment of intense pleasure.
    Thank you Iceland, you are a magnificent magical country and I am sooo extremely grateful that my old mate wanted so desperately to see you.

      He made a wonderful choice and I am so glad you were able to see Iceland together. Amazing how the photos evoke such pleasure and memories.
