Holiday madness? Drunken mistake? Heart’s desire?

A wild English rose.

This week, two of my fellow travellers succumbed to the needle. No, they aren’t druggies and they didn’t get new vaccinations.

They took themselves to the tattoo parlour on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand and got themselves branded.

I won’t point fingers and I won’t name names. They know who they are and they were sober when they did it. In fact, they’ve both wanted a tat for a long time. That said, I think they egged one another on, but I wasn’t there for the discussions.

They both swear the process didn’t hurt, but we haven’t seen either of them signing up to have their legs waxed!

To be honest, the tats look great and suit them, and I’ve supplied a vat of moisturising cream for them to slather on to keep the tats healthy. Guess this means I’m an accomplice or an aider and abetter.

By the way, would anyone out there believe that Poor John got a tat?

A streamlined tattoo.

Poor John getting a tat? No, I don’t think so. Not in this lifetime anyway. But of course I haven’t read the other post you sent today. I might be proven wrong. And I fail to understand, as someone who does get their legs waxed, how you couldn’t bear to do that but could put up with someone drawing on you with a sharp needle and ink. Yuck!!!!

No, never. Me and Brad either – limits going to hot springs in Japan.

    John has a tat?
Who, What, Where, When, How? 🙂
Curious minds (now that we have also met him) want to know more 🙂
Guess it would not be “proper etiquette” to ask if you have a matching one? lol
MANY years ago, I decided to have a tat, TRUE!
A VERY good friend was a tat artist too!
He drew a beautiful red rose on my shoulder and suggest I wear it for a week before it was permanently ink,
THANKFULLY, based on health issues, I had a double think!
While I do think tats are personal things (with no judgement) to do,
Decided (for my longevity) to not have it done too!

Sorry to disappoint you, but Poor John doesn’t have a tat. I don’t either. And neither do you! I must go back and add a link to those who did get the tats. 🙂
